Hybrid Musk. When I first started growing roses this was one of my favourites. The small double flowers are produced in large clusters and are a blend of apricot, buff and pink. Nice bronze tones to the foliage and a good musky fragrance. Few thorns. Use as large shrub or small climber. 1925.

Patio. A great little rose for the front of the border or for use as a low hedge. Semi-double simple and charming blooms of pale creamy yellow with a flush of pink are borne in generous trusses. Slightly arching and spreading habit. Very showy. 1989

Floribunda. Soft pink flowers smother this compact healthy bush. Buds are baby pink and open fully to show pretty yellow stamens. Prefers full sun. Healthy glossy foliage of mid green set off the delicate blooms.

Polyantha Std Weeper. Glossy green foliage and clusters of dainty white blooms that are slightly frilled and ruffled. A vigorous trouble free rose that is a really pretty in full bloom. This rose is a natural mutation of the popular 'The Fairy'. Lightly scented. 2001.

Standard 45cm. Cupid is a small cherry red patio rose which smothers itself with masses of flowers. A healthy bush that has a compact and slightly spreading form that looks great as a standard. Bred in NZ by Rob Somerfield.

Patio Rose. Perfect golden buds open to delightful rich golden blooms that are very fragrant. Deep glossy green foliage completes the picture. Seldom without a flower through out the season. Named after Daltons of Matamata who produce most of the potting mix sold in NZ.

Hybrid Musk. This is a pretty little Rose with clusters of semi-double, warm yellow flowers that fade to creamy-white as they age. Healthy and vigorous with attractive dark green foliage, repeats well. Nice fragrant too. 1913.

Hybrid Tea. Bred by Matthews Roses to celebrate 60 years of rose growing in NZ, this exquisite rose is shaded softest yellow in the centre gradually fading out to warm cream. Very decorative in the vase or garden. Strong compact growth habit and lovely fragrance. Award Winner. 2007

Floribunda. This delightful rose would outshine even John Travolta! Orange-scarlet cupped double flowers dance amongst the glossy green foliage from spring through to autumn. Quite a show off. Nice light fragrance. Multi-award winner. 1984.
