Starkrimson is a beautiful looking pear with crimson skin. The flesh is finely textured and smooth with a light taste. Sweet and juicy as well. Excellent for fresh eating. Ripens mid January. Delicious and Deciduous.

Triomphe de Viennes was a chance seedling discovered growing near the town of Viennes close to Lyons in the South Eastern France. It is very much in the style of early Belgium and French dessert pears being oblong in shape, green in colour with much russetting, crisp white juicy flesh with good texture.

A nice fat round pear with russeted skin. The flesh is creamy white, juicy and with a good rich flavour. Ripens towards autumn and stores extremely well. Can be preserved or used for juice. Happiest in a sunny sheltered spot however quite hardy and easy to grow. Deciduous.
