Flowers appear early spring. Small yellow/green pendulous catkins separate male and female. The male is more slender than the female. Both appear on the one tree. Self fertile and wind pollination. More than one tree will increase fruit set. Harvest - spread a cloth beneath the tree and let fruit drop onto it. Harvest over 3 months, daily collection is best.
