Kieffer is a large pear with greenish-yellow skin blushed in red and has coarse crisp, juicy, white flesh Highly resistant to fire blight and heat or cold extremes. Late fruiting variety with Yellow/Red skin. Self fertile. Suitable to be grown throughout NZ.

An Italian bred Pear that dates back to 1956. Quite a dumpy pear with greenish-yellow skin that has an attractive red blush. The flesh is white and is very juicy with a rich flavour that is sweet and spicy. Ripens early, around Feb/March. Deciduous.
