Something different. More suitable for warmer climates but may tolerate light frosts. Can be an attractive tree with rich dark green and bronze foliage. Pods up to 1m long contain sweet, juicy, white pulp with a soft candy-floss-like flesh that tastes of vanilla ice-cream. Self-fertile.

Tree will start producing pods in 3 years.

This plum has large round dark red fruit with yellow flesh that is sweet, juicy and aromatic. The fruit ripens around February. Crops well. Partially self fertile but performs best with either Santa Rosa, Omega or Duffs early Jewel. Protect from late spring frosts. Deciduous.

This European Plum ripens quite late in the season, towards March. It is worth the wait as the large rich, juicy, golden fruit have a delicious flavour. Likes the best sunny position to do really well. On St Julian Rootstock Pollinate with Greengage or Reine Claude de Bavay. Deciduous.

This is a quality dessert plum with attractive large fruit that have purple skin and yellow flesh. Ripens late January. A good choice for warmer areas of NZ as this vigorous grower shows good tolerance to heat and humidity. Pollinate with Duff's Early Jewel, Sultan or Red Doris. Deciduous.

Sumptuous large golden fruit that are lovely and sweet (not as tart as the red ones) Small Harvest any time from April to September, dependant on regular picking and when you prune. Prefers well drained, sheltered site in full sun. Semi-evergreen.
