Nyssa resent being moved so choose your planting spot with care. If at all possible avoid an extremely windy site.

This magnificent looking tree is grown extensively in Japan for the production of high quality paper. It can be cut back hard each year and will re-grow quite quickly and produce enormous leaves but no flowers.

Plane Tree. The world would be a poorer place without the handsome and magnificent Plane Tree. It grows where nothing else will, tolerating pollution and poor conditions. While the Plane Tree is very tolerant it will reach its maximum potential in nice deeply worked fertile soil. Allow it space to reach its true 'Autumn Glory'.

This form of Plane Tree is native to Eastern Europe and Asia, though is so tolerant and hardy it will grow almost anywhere. The large finely dissected green foliage forms a broad round head set on a trunk with attractive grey mottled bark. Pyramidal form, fine fingered leaves and disease resistant. Deciduous. 10 year height.
