Rambler. This popular, spring flowering rambler has beautiful, slightly scrolled, lemon buds that open to a double cream delight. Glossy foliage produced on long pliable stems. Nice sweet fragrance. Tolerant of some shade and relatively disease free. One of the best ramblers available. 1900.

Though Alberic Barbier puts on its main display in spring and it is truly beautiful in full flower there will be sparodic flowering through to autumn.

Rambler. Albertine is a well loved rose and I am certainly a dedicated fan. Always admired as in full bloom it is quite a breath taking sight. Very fragrant, double, loose, salmon pink flowers produced en masse in the spring. Vigorous growth. Just a few flowers in autumn. Award winner. 1921.

Albertine is best suited to a wall or a fence and as it flowers mostly on older wood it is best to only prune sparingly. Though this rose mainly flowers in the spring there are so many flowers and for quite a long period it is well worth growing.

Rambler. Small, mid pink, cupped flowers held in closely packed, conical clusters. Strong, delicious fragrance. The almost thornless bush has light green leaves. Often found in old cottage gardens. Vigorous growth. Decidous. Cant, 1863

Rambler. A spectacular rose which, in full flush, has large clusters of small, double blooms of rich deep crimson produced in great profusion in early summer. Abundant light green foliage and a dense vigorous habit. Not named for the Actor as it was born before him in 1939. From the USA.

Climber - Wichuraiana rambler. A well loved and much admired rose with clusters of semi-double, soft pink blooms that are sweetly scented. The complementary foliage shows good disease resistance. Flowers continuously throughout the summer and will tolerate poorer soils and some shade. 1930.

New Dawn was voted the World Federation of Rose Societies favourite rose in 1997 - 67 years after it was first introduced - now that's special. Also has a Royal Horticulture Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Rambler. Medium sized fragrant and fully double flowers that open flat. The flowers are coloured a rich salmon with coppery apricot overtones. Nice shiny foliage that also has tones of copper. Repeats on and off throughout the season especially if in a nice sunny spot. 1900.

It is a few years since I had 'Paul Transon' in my garden but it was a rose I always admired and enjoyed growing.

Rambler. Give this 'Rector' a chance and he will ramble all over the parish! A charming Rose that will delight with its fragrant, semi-double blooms of white offset with golden stamens however it does need space. Flowers prolifically in summer and shows good disease resistance. Not known prior to 1912.

aka Lady Banks Rose

An historic rose dating from 1807 and named after Lady Banks wife of the Botanist Sir Joseph Banks. The semi-evergreen foliage is light green and set on thornless stems. The late spring flowers are double, dainty, pure white and scented. A lovely little rose that likes a warm sheltered spot.

Climber. This special little rose is spectacular in early spring around about the end of September. Masses of tiny double pale butter yellow blooms smother the arching stems and emit a gentle fragrance. The profuse foliage is thornless and evergreen. Recognised in 1825

Climber. AKA 'Purezza'. A sweet little rose that has dark green foliage and thorn-less stems. During spring and summer clusters of small, double, white blooms appear. Nice soft fragrance. Good disease resistance.
