An attractive and easy care shrub with arching branches of deep burgundy wine foliage. In spring and summer dark pink 'fringed' flowers appear and these carry a pleasant fragrance. Easy to grow in sun or part shade, prefers well drained soil. Presented here as a topiary standard.

aka Standard Mandarin

Citrus. Standard. This Mandarin is very popular in Queensland where it was discovered as a chance seedling in 1888. The virtually thorn-less tree produces large fruit with a thin easy peel skin. Ripens around July. If left on the tree you will notice the skin gets 'puffy'. Evergreen.

As with all Citrus make sure you cut the fruit off the tree rather than just pull. Your Mandarin will grow well in a warm, well drained fertile spot in the garden with protection from harsh frost. Also suitable for container growing with regular feeding and watering. Citrus Information Pages

Citrus. Medium sized, rich flavoured, aromatic fruit that is easy to peel. Tends to crop heavily every 2nd year. The fruit is mature from June through to August. Quite vigorous in habit but nice and bushy. Can be grown in a container in a warm sunny position as long as watered regularly. Evergreen.
