River Birch - Weeping. A delightful cascading form which is perfect for smaller gardens. Attractive fresh green spring and summer foliage that turns yellow before leaf fall. Characteristic flaking bark. Fast growing in sun or part shade. Tolerates quite a bit of moisture. Deciduous. PVR.

I purchased one of these for my own garden about a year ago as I was enchanted by the beautiful shape and fresh green leaves. I have an awkward small courtyard area that sometimes gets quite wet - this tree was the perfect choice and it is doing well.

aka Himalayan Birch

Himalyan Birch. A selected form of this special tree that has a glistening white trunk of peeling bark. The dark green foliage has serrated edges and turns warm yellow in autumn. 'White Spire' tends to have a very upright columnar habit. Plant in soil that does not completely dry out in summer. Est.10yr.growth.

Make a real statement by planting in groups of 3 or more with some garden up-lighting to show off the white trunks at night.
