This darling little Agapanthus has wide, short, strappy green leaves and sturdy stems of white 'snowball' flowers that appear throughout the summer. Well behaved in that it does not seed everywhere and forms a nice compact clump. Happy in the sun. Hardy and evergreen.

A fabulous dwarf Agapanthus that is well behaved and tidy. Strap like green leaves form a neat clump and from mid spring onwards multiple stems of mid blue flowers appear continuously for months. So easy to grow. Lovely to pick. aka African Lily. Evergreen.

Here's something a little different - a variegated Agapanthus. Striking foliage of cream and green combines well with very pretty sky blue flowers. A sterile form that will not seed "willy-nilly". Forms a compact clump, looks great planted in groups of 3 or more. Summer flowering Evergreen.

A delightful dwarf mainly grown for the neat and tidy cream and green foliage. The strap-like leaves form a low clump and in summer stems of pale blue flowers sit just above the foliage. It is quite shy to flower and overall a slow grower. Will grow in sun or semi-shade. Evergreen

'Tinkerbell' will remain evergreen in warmer climates but if you're garden is quite cold in winter it will be more perennial in habit. If grown in part shade - where it does look good - it will be less likely to bloom.

This giant perennial succulent makes a real statement especially when planted in groups of 3 or more. The broad gray-green leaves form a perfect large rosette. Will thrive in poor dry soil but will not tolerate harsh frost. Looks good in a container. Evergreen.

Once Agave have flowered the mother plant will die down leaving the offsets to continue growing.

aka Fox Tail Agave

A beautiful variegated selection of the soft Foxtail Agave with a fine white variegation along the pale green leaf margin. It has a vertical flower stalk that reflexes back towards the ground before arching upward again. The flowers are a pale greenish yellow and are followed by seed pods.

Once Agave have flowered the mother plant will die down leaving the offsets to continue growing.

This ground cover has good contrast of erect, deep blue flowers with burnished purple foliage. It spreads by surface runners in the same way as a strawberry plant and can spread indefinitely. Excellent for moist areas. Wonderful for a shady border. Frost hardy trouble-free plant. Perennial.

This attractive spreading ground-cover has very interesting undulating foliage that is such a dark burgundy shade it looks black. Bright blue flowers appear in spring through to summer and contrast well with the leaves. Plant in sun or semi-shade. Perennial. PVR HOM220.

While Ajuga is a very hardy and tolerant plant it prefers a soil that does not completely dry out in summer. I have also found that the best results are achieved when Ajuga is not baking in NZ's hot afternoon sun.

Well this is one Muffin you can't eat but plant it in a semi-shaded spot and will reward you by making a carpet of foliage topped off with spikes of sky blue flowers in spring. Great ground-cover with rosettes of dark green foliage. Tolerant of light frost but not hot dry conditions. Evergreen.

It is important that Ajuga does not completely dry out in summer. This plant will tolerate morning sun but must have afternoon shade or dappled light to do really well.
