This 'Rabbit Eye' Blueberry is sweet, succulent to and looks good in the garden as well. The berries are medium, full of lots of vitamins, high in vitamin C and good antioxidant properties too. Plant in sun or part shade in nice rich acid soil for best results. Self pollinator. Evergreen.

It is important to remember that Blueberries fruit on the previous years wood and whilst they are self-fertile they will always do better with a companion.

Rabbiteye. Maru produces excellent crops of large dark blue fruit. Mature the berries well on the plant prior to picking, This is a good variety for Waikato North. Flowers in spring, fruit harvest toward the end of summer and displays gorgeous burgundy wine colours in autumn. Acid Soil. Deciduous.

Let fruit mature on the bush. To ensure the best flavour leave fruit on the bush for 7-10 days after turning blue.

aka Grapefruit

Citrus. This Australian variety has large, good quality, pale yellow fruit that mature from November through to March. The fruit has thin skin and very juicy flesh with a mild flavour. Usually has a bumper crop every 2nd year i.e. has biennial tendencies but we won't hold that against it. Evergreen.

Citrus. Large, easy peel flattened fruit with a good sweet flavour. Prolific bearer from May through to June. Forms quite a large tree for a Citrus with a spreading canopy. Plant in a warm sunny position and remember when picking the fruit to cut off with sharp secateurs. Evergreen.

Citrus. Satsuma Miho is very early ripening with fruit ready to eat from April/ May. The easy peel, flat fruit has a mild sweet taste. Excellent ornamental Citrus for a container or equally at home in a sunny spot in the garden. Prefers a well drained position. Evergreen.

Citruatsuma. Quite large typically 'flattened' fruit with smooth thin rind that is easy to peel. Sweet tangy flavour. Early June ripening, lovely to eat straight off the tree and straight into the mouth. Happiest in a sunny well drained position. Evergreen.

Silverhill has large, easy-peel, thin smooth rind and attractive, flat shaped, almost seedless fruit. The low acid fruit therefore really sweet and juicy. Just delicious for a healthy snack in the winter. Easy to grow in a sunny, well drained spot in the garden or a container. Evergreen.

Citrus. 'Fukumoto' is an attractive Navel orange with large round fruit with quite a strong reddish tinge to the rind. Sweet tasting and delicious it ripens in late winter. Quite a compact grower. Plant in the sun in well drained fertile soil and protect from harsh frost. Evergreen.

Citrus. A very good orange developed in NZ from a 'Valencia' seedling. The fruit is sweet and juicy with few seeds, produced in large quantities and holds well on the tree. aka Bitter Orange

Citrus. Famous Spanish selection with heavy crops of bitter oranges ideal for marmalade, liqueurs, preserves, sauces and relishes. Medium to large fruit. The dried peel is often used for seasoning. Upright and vigorous grower well suited for large containers. Fruit ripens June/July. Evergreen.

Large amounts of this orange are imported into England and Scotland specifically for Marmalade production - it's not British Marmalade unless it's made from Spanish oranges that actually originally came from Northern Africa. Citrus Information Pages
