A fabulous NZ native that will add some real architectural drama to your planting scheme or look equally fabulous in a container. The juvenile foliage is long and narrow with a sharp saw toothed edge. The grey blotched foliage combines well with other colours. Easy to grow. Evergreen.

NZ native. A lovely variegated sport of Cyril Watson. Glossy rounded leaves with equal splashes of bright yellow. A hardy shrub that provides colour all year round. Great for adding some golden colouring to a garden as a specimen. Evergreen.

An attractive evergreen native with an upright columnar growth habit and narrow fingers of foliage. The new leaves emerge golden yellow and gradually change to a dark green. Very striking in a container or for accent planting. Must be protected from afternoon sun and harsh frost.

Native. Laetus means bright or pleasing and that exactly describes this handsome evergreen, native shrub. The large, leathery, deep green leaves are attractively divided into 'fingers' of foliage. Performs well in just about any position and is excellent for background planting.

Native. A great foliage plant with lobed leaves that are glossy and coloured an attractive bronze purple. Contrasts well with other plants. Tidy, compact, bushy habit - looks good in a container. Happy in the sun or part shade with protection from harsh frost especially when young. Evergreen.

Native. An interesting architectural plant especially in its juvenile form when it has very long narrow foliage in deepest green with an orange mid-rib. The leaves are undulated and hang downwards. Stiff upright habit. Looks good group planted. Plant in sun or part shade. Evergreen.

Commonly called Horopito or Pepperwood. Easy to grow and has striking red blushed, aromatic foliage. Little green fragrant, star flowers appear in spring but these do not compete with the foliage. Plant in sun or semi-shade in nice deep soil for best results. Hardy and evergreen.

Can grow to 1.5m or more after 10 years, depending on growing environment.
