Another delightful rose from French breeder Delbard. This rose produces masses of semi-double pink to soft lavender flowers that have a white central zone highlighted with yellow stamens. Hybrid Tea. Named for the well known French Artist and no doubt inspired by his work. The flowers have tones of warm pink and red with brush strokes of bright white. Most unusual and striking. Healthy dark green foliage. Repeats well. PVR. 1992.

Rambler. Medium sized fragrant and fully double flowers that open flat. The flowers are coloured a rich salmon with coppery apricot overtones. Nice shiny foliage that also has tones of copper. Repeats on and off throughout the season especially if in a nice sunny spot. 1900.

A lovely old rose with slightly muddled medium sized blooms that are fully double. The flowers are shades of salmon pink with coppery overtones. The foliage is glossy green and also has coppery overtones. Nice fragrance and plenty of blooms. A pleasing rose dating back to 1900.

Hybrid Musk. Very large semi-double flowers, creamy to pure white, with obvious golden stamens. Flowers continuously throughout summer. Moderately fragrant. Perhaps the largest of the Hybrid Musks with blooms produced in large, well-spaced clusters held on long, arching stems. Superb rose. Deciduous Pax Current Stock Height: 20/40 cm ? Container: pb8 ? $44.99 Stock of this item is very low. aka Peace or Mme A Meilland Hybrid Tea. Possibly the world's favourite, best known and best loved rose. A delicate soft yellow edged with pink. Lightly fragrant blooms on a very sturdy vigorous bush. Wonderful as a cut flower. Repeats well and shows good disease resistance. Multi award winner. 1945.

It is a few years since I had 'Paul Transon' in my garden but it was a rose I always admired and enjoyed growing.

This truly superb rose was bred by Frenchman Francis Meilland and named by Field Marshal Alan Brooke to celebrate the liberation of France at the end of WW11. It is a fascinating story - worthy of further reading and certainly 'Peace' is very worthy of planting.
