aka Bleeding heart

Bleeding Heart. A beautiful dainty perennial with blue-green, deeply cut, fern like foliage. In mid spring pendent heart shaped blooms of carmine pink and white decorate the delicate stems that rise above the foliage. Needs a sheltered spot in light shade with humus rich soil to do well. Perennial.

FYI the other common name for this perennial is 'Dutchman's Trousers' but I think you will agree that 'Bleeding Heart' is more appropriate to the plants delicate look.
