Native. A tough little native grass that hails from the Chatham Islands. The fine needles of foliage are a beautiful shade of blue green and quickly form a neat little clump. Can be used as an edging and certainly looks good mass planted. Easy to grow in a well drained sunny spot. Evergreen.

If you wish your Festuca coxii clumps can be divided annually to refresh and/or multiply.

Native. The gorgeous, large glossy leaves of this evergreen shrub are ideal for adding a lush tropical look to the garden. Undemanding and tolerant of wind, and coastal conditions but not harsh frost. Will grow quite large if left to its own devices but trims well. Great hedging plant.

The common name of this shrub is Puka or Akapuka not to be confused with Meryta which is also a native commonly called Puka. See that's why we use those hard to say Latin names.
