A magnificent Magnolia which tantalizes with large woolly buds that open to reveal large, cupped, deep magenta blooms with attractive prominent stamens. May take a few years to flower but worth the wait. Plant in a sheltered spot in acid soil for best results. Est.10yr.growth.

The seed for this Magnolia was first collected from the Yunnan region in China by intrepid plant collector George Forrest in 1924. It didn't flower until 1947 - good things do indeed take time.

From the Stellata collection this is a stunning, deciduous shrub or small tree. Growing in a pyramidal shape it will make a feature point in a traditional garden or informal landscaping. Pure white flower that will tinge pink throughout Spring.

With large, sumptuous, cupped blooms of rich cerise purple 'Cleopatra' is certainly a beauty to behold. Bred in NZ this relatively small tree blooms from a young age and is stunning in full flower. Plant with protection from wind in acid soil. PVR 2013. Est.10yr. growth.

This small, deciduous tree comes from Central China where it is planted to represent purity and candor. Masses of scented, ivory-white flowers appear from mid winter to early spring, just before the fresh green leaves. Really lovely, happiest in a sheltered spot. Est.10yr.growth.

An unusually dark hybrid showing clearly influence from Genie the parent. It is a rich glowing velvet red and in some lights the colour becomes almost brick red. This variety sets flowers on all the tips, meaning it will tend to be slower growing.

This magnificent Magnolia hybrid was bred in NZ by Mark Jury and named to honor his father Felix Jury. The magenta pink flowers are HUGE and appear from early spring. Quite a sight in full flower. Plant in a sheltered spot in well drained acid soil for best results.
