Blackcurrants are a very rich source of vitamin C. They are relatively easy to grow and form attractive shrubs in the home landscape. This variety has been bred to produce large berries.They are excellent in jams, jellies, juices and pies and they also freeze easily. Deciduous.

Black currants will grow in sun or semi-shade. They like deep acid soil that does not completely dry out in summer. They fruit on the new growth that has developed after the previous years pruning.
