A fast growing upright shrub with dark green foliage. Known for its strong growth and slightly larger leaves than Sempervirens. Good for taller hedging as takes on a columnar shape. Use for formal gardens, topiary or boundary plantings. Likes full sun to part shade, well drained soil. Evergreen

Keep trimmed for shape and size after it has growth spirted to avoid it going woody.
