Camellia hybrids are particular combinations offering the very best attributes of Camellia japonica, sasanqua and reticulata. They provide the modern gardener with exquisite flower, form, foliage and often a hint of fragrance.

Many new releases in the Camellia world are hybrids, some of which have been bred right here in New Zealand. We currently have 50 Camellia hybrids to choose from. They range from "Quintessence" which has a low, spreading habit, making it ideal for pots and baskets to the showy upright "Dreamboat" that has large, gay, frilly double blooms of brightest pink and just about every variance in-between.

Hybrid Miniature. If you want a really cute little Camellia to grow in a container or a hanging basket then it would be hard to go past 'Baby Bear'. The tiny semi-double flowers are pale pink blushed white and combine well with the dainty foliage. Flowers July to September. Slow growing.

Hybrid. This Camellia is ideal for those of you who don't have a lot of space as it has a low growing, cascading habit. A good ground-cover, this perfumed flowers are mainly white with the odd blush of pink. Definitely on my must have list, flowers for months. Evergreen.

Looks wonderful in a container or even a hanging basket.

Hybrid Miniature. An attractive little Camellia that has beautiful, pale pink, scented flowers that are in a miniature peony form. Glossy green foliage offsets the flowers well. A slow grower with a compact habit making it ideal for container growing. Happiest in semi-shade and acid soil. Evergreen.
