NZ's iconic native conifer. Slow growing but well worth the wait for the tree to mature into its stately form. When juvenile the foliage tends to have copper bronze tones but as the tree ages green is the more dominant colour. Protect from frost when young. One to plant for your grand children! Evergreen

This hebe was developed by a Waikato Nursery as part of the Regal Series of Hebes and named for the Duchess of Cambridge. New leaf shoots are burgundy red in colour, maturing to deep olive green. Masses of purple flowers develop through summer. Trim back after flowering to keep tidy. PVR eligible.

aka Pohutukawa

Native. An excellent form of NZ's 'Christmas Tree' that grows with a clean straight trunk and has few aerial roots, making it highly suitable for street planting or the home garden. Leathery green leaves and, of course, beautiful red blooms in summer. Very tolerant of coastal conditions but not harsh frost.

Did you know that the name 'Pohutukawa' means 'drenched with spray'? Referring of course to the many beautiful trees growing in precarious positions on NZ's coastline.

Native. Pohutakawa or NZ Christmas Tree. A selected form of our favourite summer tree that has flowers made up of clusters of red stamens that brighten up the green leathery foliage. Happy in a well drained sunny spot with protection from harsh frost especially when young. Evergreen.

Whilst this evergreen native tree will eventually reach 30m it won't happen in your life time as it is very slow growing. A highly valued native with a special place in Maori history. Dense, bronze green, stiff narrow leaves adorn a handsome pyramidal tree. Estimated height after 10 years, 6m.
