It is important to remember that Blueberries fruit on the previous years wood and whilst they are self-fertile they will always do better with a companion.

If you have a very warm sheltered spot then this is the climber for you. Deep green foliage and bright crimson red flower bracts make a stunning display from summer to autumn. Must have well drained soil and protection from frost. Evergreen.

As Bouganvillea come from South America warmth is more important to the plant than lots of fertilizer. Choose a spot where the soil is well drained and therefore does not get too cold and claggy in winter.

A useful plant for covering up anything ugly or unsightly - in the garden that is. Self clinging aerial roots clamber along walls, up fences, water tanks etc. Small juvenile foliage is an attractive bronze green. Grow in sun/part shade and needs protection from harsh frost. Evergreen.

This is a plant that I am never without in the garden. I prefer the small mature leaves and usually trim off the more mature rangy growth. Creeping Fig does not like harsh frost and will show signs of some stress in very cold winters but usually recovers well.

This Fig has large pear-shaped fruit with greenish-brown skin and quite coarse (but delicious) golden brown sweet flesh. The delectable and desirable fruit of the Fig is full of calcium, iron, and Vitamins. This highly ornamental tree produces medium sized fruit with green skin and red sweet flesh. Will crop best if grown in a warm sheltered spot. Harvest fruit in summer and again in autumn. Deciduous.

It is important not to let your Fig tree dry out completely in summer as this will affect the fruit. Pick your figs towards the end of summer (when the fruit bends at the neck) and leave 2 to 3 days to soften before eating. This variety will store well in the fridge.

The Gordonia is very closely related to the Camellia and likes very similar growing conditions. Plant in morning sun or dappled shade in well drained acid soil. Although Gordonia will grow quite large if left unhindered it can be trimmed and shaped to maintain the desired size.

Native. This fabulous little Hebe must have earned its name because it is a star performer. Glossy green foliage, a neat and tidy habit and beautiful deep violet-blue flowers from October to January. Grow in a sunny spot in well drained soil. Trim lightly after flowering. Evergreen.

Stunning dark almost black foliage sets this hebe apart from many others. An attractive light pink flower tops this display in autumn and again in spring. This plant prefers full sun and will benefit from a light prune after flowering.

A lovely neat and tidy Hebe that always looks like it has just been clipped hence the common name of Topiarist's Hebe. The dainty grey-green leaves on short stems form a rounded compact mound. Use in groups or as an ideal contrast plant. Likes the sun and well drained soil. Hardy and evergreen.

Hebe Topiaria will occasionally flower in summer with little white flowers that are rather inconspicuous. Its value is as a foliage shrub and is highly enough thought of to have received an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
