Alba. An ancient rose AKA White Rose of York which can be traced back to the 15th century. The summer blooms are double, fragrant and creamy white followed by orange hips. Foliage is a pale grey-green. Always a pleasing sight when in full flower. Disease resistant and needs little pruning

Climber. An unusual and very beautiful climbing rose that flowers in spring or early summer only. The double, quartered and fragrant flowers are a rich mixture of yellow and apricot orange. Healthy dark bronze green foliage. Will tolerate some shade and looks lovely scrambling up a tree. 1956.

This rose is sometimes confused with Monsieur Tillier and vice versa as they are very similar in appearance however they are definitely different. Archiduc Joseph was named after a great plant collector - Archduke Joseph of Austro-Hungary.
