An easy perennial, tolerating a range of conditions including poor soil. Form low mounds of fragrant ferny foliage, with clusters of dark maroon flowers appearing on upright stems in early summer. Good for cutting, fresh or dried. Inclined to spread. Easily divided in fall or early spring.
