Kurume azaleas are popular due to their early and heavy bloom and their relatively small plant size, fitting in nicely in many landscape situations calling for dwarf or small sized plants. They are evergreen, early blooming, with abundant smallish mid-purple flowers. Likes acid soil and semi shade.
