These giant silver proteas are beautiful trees with light-reflecting, silky, silver leaves. An erect ornamental tree, with a stout trunk and thick grey bark. They are at their most silver in hot, dry weather, when the hairs on the leaves lie flat to protect the leaves from drying out. Evergreen

Avoid fertilisers but will respond well to compost or peat.
