A delightful compact evergreen shrub to add colour to the shrubbery. The starry flower bracts have attractive red tips which deepen in colour during winter. Great for picking. Happiest in a well drained sunny position in acid soil. Protect from harsh frost.

Avoid fertilisers but will respond well to compost or peat.
Suitable for warmer areas including Auckland/Northland
