Hybridum Chinese Lantern. What a fantastic evergreen shrub this is with non stop flower power and and so easy care. Will grow in the sun or part shade and responds well to a good chop back every now and then. Sunny yellow lantern flowers decorate the dark green foliage. Suitable for containers.

This attractive spreading ground-cover has very interesting undulating foliage that is such a dark burgundy shade it looks black. Bright blue flowers appear in spring through to summer and contrast well with the leaves. Plant in sun or semi-shade. Perennial. PVR HOM220.

While Ajuga is a very hardy and tolerant plant it prefers a soil that does not completely dry out in summer. I have also found that the best results are achieved when Ajuga is not baking in NZ's hot afternoon sun.

Sweet Dreams -2018 Dreameria Collection. Boasting masses of large pale purple, globe-shaped blooms neatly held atop sturdy upright stems. Sweet Dreams is a tightly mounded, dry tolerant plant suited to rockeries and coastal conditions. Tough and evergreen.

NZ Native Grass. This is a graceful little grass or tussock with fine, light silver green needles of foliage that curl over at the top. Looks its best when planted in large groups or drifts. Easy to grow in sun or part shade in average soil. Evergreen.

If your clump of Carex becomes a little scruffy give it a new 'do' by cutting off the top growth - you can be quite severe - and it will rapidly re grow with renewed vigour.

A spreading dwarf form of the eternally popular Gardenia. Covers itself in a mass of sweetly fragrant flowers from late spring to summer. Ideal as a container plant or use as a ground cover in a warm, frost free position in the garden. Will respond well to regular liquid feeding. Evergreen.

An excellent sprawling shrub that covers a lot of ground on difficult areas that need fast cover. Attractive bronze divided leaves and long red 'toothbrush' flowers that appear throughout the year but particularly in spring. Likes sun, well drained soil and protection from frost. Evergreen. PVR.

This hebe was developed by a Waikato Nursery as part of the Regal Series of Hebes and named for the Duchess of Cambridge. New leaf shoots are burgundy red in colour, maturing to deep olive green. Masses of purple flowers develop through summer. Trim back after flowering to keep tidy. PVR eligible.

This little Hebe hybrid is well named as it is indeed delightful. Fresh green narrow foliage and pretty sprays of white flowers from spring to summer. Sometimes the blooms have just a hint of soft lilac. Always looks neat and tidy. Happy in a sunny well drained position. Evergreen.

Prune your Hebe 'Otari Delight' lightly after flowering to encourage new growth. This Hebe was found as a seedling in Otari-Wilton's Bush in Wellington hence the name.

Native. The natural habitat of this Hebe is the Manawatu district but it is happy in any garden situation where the drainage is good and the soil is not too heavy. Green long narrow leaves and elongated white flower spikes that appear in summer. Hardy and evergreen.

A fascinating and fabulous, designer conifer that is used extensively as a feature landscaping or container plant. The branches are graceful, arching and held at unusual angles giving a most interesting architectural affect. Bright green needle like foliage. Easy to grow. Evergreen.

This Conifer is commonly known as the 'Hollywood' Juniper - definitely a star in any planting scheme.

This handsome evergreen native forms a slender, erect tapering tree with deep green leaves that have saw-toothed margins. In spring, reddish bottle-brush like flowers appear which provide a nectar feast for native birds. Grows well in average soil in sun or part shade. Avoid harsh frost.

Semi-evergreen shrubby perennial that hails from South Africa. The tall straight stems of aromatic foliage are topped off in summer and autumn with whorls of bright orange, furry, tubular flowers. Very striking. Plant in the sun in well drained rich soil for best results. Protect from frost. Semi-evergreen.

Leonotis or as it is commonly known 'Lion's Ear' will tolerate dry periods once it is established. Can be grown in coastal conditions. Cut back stems quite hard after flowering.

The 'Flannel Bush' has unusual, fluffy, pom pom flower bracts in shades of cream that sit proudly on top of the strong branchlets making them perfect for picking. Rounded evergreen shrub to 70cm tall. Prefers a sunny position and loose open soil that is free draining. Winter flowering. Evergreen.

Fern Pine. A graceful evergreen tree from Africa from the same family as our Totara. In its juvenile form it has green glossy fern like foliage arranged along slender willowy branches. Very slow growing so looks 'forever young' for many years. Sun or shade and deeply worked well drained soil for best results. Est.10 year growth.

The name Podocarpus refers to the stalked 'fruits' of this tree and gracilior means graceful.
